Help! Where do I start from a regimen standpoint?
Finding the right products. Every person’s skin is unique and reacts differently to certain products. The best way to figure out which products are going to work well for you is by selecting the ones that fit your skin type/concerns. The process may involve some trial and error but it is definitely worth it once you find a regimen that makes your skin look and feel amazing.

Determining my skin type. Skin types are normally categorized as normal, oily, dry, combination, or sensitive. One way to determine your skin type is by using a blotting tissue on your T-Zone, which lies horizontally across your forehead and vertically down your nose, to judge the amount of oil your body produces. If the tissue is dry after blotting, your skin in on the dryer side and is probably lacking moisture. If the tissue picked up a lot of sebum, it means your skin is overproducing oil in certain areas, and you should use oil-controlling products. You know your skin best so always pay close attention to any changes in tone or texture and update your skincare routine to target troubled areas.

Layering my skin care products? Your skin care regimen should also be unique to your skin needs/concerns. That being said there is normally a basic order in which all products should be used. Always read the instructions of each product to ensure it is being used in the correct order.

  2. Cleanser: Cleansing Foam, Scrub Foam, Bubble Foam
  3. Mask: Wash Off Mask
  4. Toner
  5. Essence/Serum
  6. Sheet Mask
  7. Eye Cream
  8. Moisturizer: Emulsion, Cream and Sleeping Packs
  9. SPF
Did I receive an expired product?
You are not the first and won’t be the last to think that. All of our products have a printed manufacture and expiration date. It’s there. It may be difficult to find (under label or due to the color of the packaging). The first date will be the manufacture date; this is the date the product was produced. The second date located normally directly underneath the manufacture date is the expiration date. Now you can exhale.

We’re sorry. We hate when that happens! That product you’re looking for could be coming soon (to the US or online if it’s carried in store) or could be discontinued. If you have any product suggestions or requests, please let us know at help@theskinfood.com.
Looking for a physical location?
If you’re new to SKINFOOD, we get it. You want to test, feel and/or smell the product. Some of you are lucky enough to have a nearby SKINFOOD location. For the rest of you, our friends Ulta have been nice enough to bring a curated SKINFOOD line to an Ulta Beauty store near you.

How do I cancel or change my order?
Contact us at help@theskinfood.com immediately. We will make every effort to cancel and/or change your order. Unfortunately, once the order has shipped, there’s nothing we can do. You will have to follow our returns process at that point.
